WORKS: Installation of automated lighting control system to maintenance hangar

Client: Eco Save-John Holland - Tullamarine Airport

Scope of Works

Installed an automated lighting system to reduce power consumption.

Lighting system detects the Lux levels within the maintenance hangar and switches the existing high bay lighting accordingly.

The client specified a KNX lighting control system as the preferred control for the works.

JNJ Electrics managed the supply and installation of structured cabling connecting eight relay panels, four light level sensors and two control modules within two separate maintenance hangars.

A key challenge was the safe delivery of the project working at high levels while surrounded by staff, spare parts and aircraft. JNJ Electrics comprehensive OH&S system and MOP’s ensured the project was delivered in accordance with the client’s expectations

These works have resulted in a reduction of running costs while ensuring a safe work environment and adequate light levels are still maintained.
